Used 48ft flatbed trailers for sale

Condition & Tiers

Four inventory tiers, what to expect at each, and how we price.

What You're Getting: Our Four Inventory Tiers Explained

We carry 100+ used flatbed trailers at over 30 locations across the country. With inventory at lots nationwide, we are not able to inspect each trailer individually, so an in-person inspection is the most accurate way to evaluate any unit. Before your visit we can share the tier details, price range, and right location based on what you're looking for, then get your appointment scheduled. You come to the lot, walk the trailers in your price range, and pick the one that fits.

Each tier below covers the price range, who tends to buy in that tier, and what to expect when you show up. By appointment only. Just message us or book a callback through Calendly and we'll set one up for you.

Come look, pick the trailer you want, and take it home as soon as your payment clears.

Tier 1

Newer Fleet

Typically Priced $17,000 and Up

The top end of our inventory. Typically priced at $17,000 and up, these are the newest units we carry. Mostly 48ft flatbeds, the industry standard trailer for general flatbed freight.

Who This Tier Is For

Owner-operators who want a newer trailer without paying $40,000–$60,000 for one at a dealer. Small carriers adding a second or third unit. Buyers moving up from an older trailer who want something with more years left in it.

If you're running regional flatbed freight and want a newer trailer with more years of service life ahead of it, this is the tier to look at first.

What to Expect When You Come Look

These are the units with the best odds of going to work with minimal attention. Most are in solid shape and have years of service left. Some may need routine attention on common wear items like tires, lights, and brakes, the kind of stuff any working trailer picks up over time. These are newer model years with more service life ahead, and buyers looking for something they can put into service quickly tend to gravitate toward this tier.

Tier 2

Working Fleet

Typically Priced $12,000 – $16,999

The heart of our inventory. Dependable older work trailers, typically priced between $12,000 and $16,999. Most are 48ft flatbeds, set up to do real flatbed work without paying for a newer model year you may not need.

Who This Tier Is For

Owner-operators who want a dependable work trailer at a fair price. Operators looking for a regional or local hauler that doesn't have to look new. Small carriers adding capacity without dealer markup. Buyers who know what to look for in a used flatbed and want the best balance of price and condition.

For general flatbed freight like lumber, steel, building materials, and machinery, a Working Fleet unit at the right price gets the job done.

What to Expect When You Come Look

Most Working Fleet trailers can hook up and haul out with routine attention to wear items. Decking varies. Brakes and tires vary. These are trailers that have done real work and are priced based on what they are: functional flatbeds at a working price. Come inspect the units in your range, check what matters to you, and pick the one that fits.

Tier 3

Budget Fleet

Typically Priced $8,000 – $11,999

Older trailers priced low. Pricing typically runs between $8,000 and $11,999. Condition varies more in this range than in the tiers above. Some Budget Fleet units are decent and just need routine attention. Others may need real work before going back to hauling freight.

Who This Tier Is For

Operators looking for a backup trailer or a yard trailer that doesn't need to look pretty. Buyers who know how to turn a wrench and want the lowest practical price for a functional flatbed. Operators adding a dedicated local or short-haul unit. Buyers who have a truck shop they trust and don't mind handling some maintenance up front.

If the price is what matters most and you can handle some work, this is where to look.

What to Expect When You Come Look

These trailers have been on the road a while. Some hook up and haul out the same day with minor attention. Others may need brakes, tires, or decking work before they're ready. The price reflects that range. Come inspect the units, look at what's in your budget, and pick the one that works for you.

Tier 4

Wholesale / Export

Typically Priced Under $8,000

The oldest units in our inventory. The price is the point. Buyers in this tier are typically looking for the lowest possible price and know what they're doing with older equipment.

Who This Tier Is For

Export buyers who move trailers internationally, where condition is a secondary concern once the price is right. Wholesale buyers who purchase in volume and have their own reconditioning capability. Buyers who need parts, have a specific project in mind, or want a flatbed platform for land storage. Occasionally, a buyer who finds something that's been sitting well and just needs to be picked up.

What to Expect When You Come Look

These are the oldest and most variable units we carry. We price them to reflect that. Buyers in this tier usually have a good idea of what they're looking for. Come take a look, make your own assessment, and let's talk.

Have Questions? Here's What Buyers Ask Us Most

Answers to the questions we get most often before someone books a viewing.

How we identify individual trailers: Each trailer has a unit number on the rear panel. When you arrive at the lot for your viewing, that is how we tell units apart and match the one you want to the paperwork.
Can I see photos before I come out?
We manage trailers at locations across the country and don't have individual unit photos for current inventory. Each tier has a description and a price range that gives you an idea of what to expect. Our Facebook page has examples of trailers we've sold previously, which gives a good sense of the kind of units we carry. To see what's currently available, the best step is to come walk the lot in person and pick the trailer that fits your needs. Message us to set up a viewing.
Can you tell me the exact condition of a specific trailer before I make the drive?
We can tell you the tier and the price range at each location. Condition varies unit to unit, which is why the visit matters. Most buyers who show up knowing what tier they're shopping leave with a trailer the same day. Set up a visit and see for yourself.
Do these trailers have a current DOT inspection?
Trailers are not sold with a current DOT inspection, which is typical for used trailer sales in this price range. Your carrier's inspector or a certified truck shop can perform the annual inspection after purchase. Most buyers factor that into their plan when buying a used work trailer.
Will these pass inspection?
Most Newer Fleet and many Working Fleet trailers are in good enough shape to pass with routine attention to typical wear items like brakes, lights, and tires. Budget Fleet and Wholesale units may need more work. The best way to know is to come look and assess it yourself, or bring someone who knows trailers. We price our inventory to leave room for a buyer to address what they find.
Do you offer financing?
We don't. Most buyers use their bank or credit union. We accept wire transfer, debit card, credit card, and ACH. Once payment clears, you take the trailer the same day. Buyers typically plan for a few hours at the lot to complete payment and get hooked up, so arriving earlier in the day works best. Title ships via 2-day UPS.
How do appointments work?
By appointment only. Just message us or book a callback through Calendly and we'll set one up for you. We confirm what's at the closest lot, set up your visit with the lot manager, and you come walk the trailers in your price range. Plan to spend a few hours if you intend to complete payment and pick up the same day.
